Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse, CA
There are actually two lighthouses in Trinidad, CA. The historic 1871 lighthouse at Trinidad Head is still operational and is not open to the public (also not accessible - the Coast Guard placed a gate at the entrance to its property clearly discouraging trespassers). When the fourth-order lens was removed from this lighthouse in 1947, a replica of the tower was built on the bluff overlooking the bay to house the original lens. The original fog bell is also on display next to the memorial lighthouse.
