Heceta Head Lighthouse is located about 12 miles north of Florence OR near Cape Creek. Its first-order Fresnel lens sits 205 feet above the water and guides ships 21 miles out to sea.   The nearby lighthouse keeper's dwelling was converted to a Bed and Breakfast in 1996. We stayed there for one night and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality, the seven-course breakfast, and the company of some wonderful people. Highly recommended but be prepared to book six months in advance.
