This is a photo album of our trip in late August / early September 2002 when
we drove up the Oregon coast visiting lighthouses and then took Dad and Mom Stillings on an Alaskan
cruise on board the Sea Princess.
We saw some beautiful lighthouses, and had some good pictures. More than that, we
had a great time. We stayed over in Heceta Head
one night and met some wonderful people there. The lighthouse gallery at Umpqua River was closed but the
saleslady was accommodating sharing with us the stories behind some of the collector's items.
The Alaskan cruise was different from the other cruises we took in that the scenery was
truly breath-taking. The tidal glaciers and the thick pine trees were just stone-throw away as the Sea
Princess navigated the fjords in Glacier Bay National
Park. Pictures do not do justice to this place. You truly have to be there to experience it.
