Point Reyes Lighthouse, CA
About an hour's drive north of the Golden Gate Bridge and at the western tip of Point Reyes National Seashore, the Point Reyes Lightstation was constructed over 300 steps down from the parking area / visitor's center so that it can stay below the coastal fog. While the aero-beacon has taken over day-to-day operation, the first order Fresnel lens was kept as backup, and the photo below shows the rotating track in good working condition.
